Parents Inc features an online store complete with payment gateway, an event management system, search, newsletter marketing and a vast database of inter-related parenting information.

Parents Inc is a very complicated e-commerce system. It's information architecture was designed to handle various relationships between it's page types. This allows system generated links between the e-commerce platform, event management system, newsletter marketing, Parenting Tip database and the extensive informational site to promote good parenting.

The sites front end was designed and built entirely in X-HTML1.1 and CSS and features a variable width content area, with flash elements with custom CSS for each subsection. By using an internal tagging and reference system as well as a custom structure, The site is able to link together several different but related items such as Products, Events, Parenting Tips, and Subscriptions across different subsections of the site.

The e-commerce section can handle and calculate international shipping requirements, book parent-coaching services and also magazine subscriptions. The Content Management System features various reports showing the client recently purchased products and their associated order information.

The site is currently a success and is processing about an order an hour*
